MHA #3 - Saturday

So this was actually happening. For the first time in years, Billy was doing the apartment life thing. After a couple of handwavey trips to the cove to get some things from his boat, Billy was as working on getting settled in.  Or, as settled in as one could when they were moving into an unfurnished apartment with hardly any possessions of their own to begin with.

Billy stood in the doorway as he set the last load of things down on the ground and looked around the apartment again. It was small by most apartment standards, but compared to the space he had been living in the for the last few years it felt absolutely massive. There wasn't much there to look at. Thankfully the kitchen at least had the basic appliances so he would be able to eat once he did some shopping, and the bathroom was enough that it was functional.

As far as the rest of the apartment went, well it was looking a bit sparse at the moment. A small mattress lay on the floor of the bedroom alongside a few duffle bags of clothes and personal belongings. Billy didn't own a lot- which was painfully apparent as he looked around the sparse apartment again.  He'd work on it though. If he actually ended up staying here long enough that all that was even necessary.

Shaking his head slightly, Billy picked up the box he had brought in and carried it to the bedroom to begin unpacking and organizing things- such as they were.

(Post open with SP in effect!   Come welcome the new resident if you wish XD

A few weeks was impressively good! Some people could be remarkably stubborn on accepting that sort of thing, so that reaction managed to at least earn a few more points.

But, of course, Tisarwat would see something like maleability as something worth noting, too.

She nodded a little. "That happens a lot, I hear. I at least had the benefit of knowing I was being sent somewhere, even if I'm not sure if this was actually where I was supposed to go. And two people in my life who I knew that didn't know me was kind of a surprise. It's an odd place, this island, but, like you yourself said, it could be worse. And coming in with weirdness definitely helps prepare you for some of the other stuff to come."
